Diseño de un producto de seguro de desempleo para cooperativas en el Ecuador

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo de titulación “Desarrollo de un nuevo producto: Seguro de desempleo” para SWEADEN SEGUROS S.A., se analizó la problemática actual de nuestro país, la alta tasa de desempleo y subempleo, la crisis de seguridad y ahora sumada a la crisis energética. En la actualidad la tasa de desempleo del Ecuador ha ido en aumento desde los últimos 5 años, situación que indudablemente afecta a todo el país ya que reduce la capacidad de consumo de la población y la dinámica del comercio. El proyecto presenta como objetivo general aportar a la seguridad financiera de los asegurados por medio del diseño de un seguro de desempleo comercializado principalmente a través de cooperativas de ahorro y crédito y brokers, que para Sweaden Seguros se presenta como una oportunidad de captar un nuevo segmento del mercado llegando a un mayor número de clientes por medio de sus socios comerciales. Innegablemente el riesgo latente de este tipo de cobertura también es alto, sin embargo, con el soporte de nuestra red de reaseguradores y una correcta suscripción se puede comercializar el producto con éxito. A lo largo de esta propuesta de negocio se podrán conocer varios aspectos importantes a considerar respecto al nuevo producto que la aseguradora ofrecerá al mercado. The following thesis work "Development of a New Product: Unemployment Insurance" for SWEADEN SEGUROS S.A. analyzed the current issues in our country, the high unemployment and underemployment rates, the security crisis, and now compounded by the energy crisis. Currently, the unemployment rate in Ecuador has been increasing over the past 5 years, a situation that undoubtedly affects the entire country as it reduces the population's consumption capacity and impacts trade dynamics. The project aims to contribute to the financial security of policyholders through the design of an unemployment insurance product, primarily marketed through savings and credit cooperatives and brokers. For Sweaden Seguros, this represents an opportunity to capture a new market segment, reaching a larger number of clients through its business partners. Undeniably, the latent risk of this type of coverage is also high; however, with the support of our reinsurance network and proper underwriting, the product can be successfully marketed.Throughout this business proposal, several important aspects regarding the new product that the insurance company will offer to the market will be discussed.
