(3) Por lo tanto, los implantes subperiósticos son una alternativa, no obstante, es un tratamiento poco utilizado...Aging is defined as the progressive accumulation of changes with the passage of time. (1) Soon the world's population will be more populated with older adults according to WHO, so there will be a need to expand health care services for their treatment. Edentulism causes patients to acquire severe atrophy or an accelerated process of bone resorption and although prostheses replace the masticatory and esthetic function, they are not definitive solutions; therefore, the use of oral implants is recommended (2). Oral implants are a definitive solution in patients who do not exceed class IV of Cawood and Howell, this is because bone with a high degree of resorption lead to multiple complications due to the high degree of difficulty... | es |
