Impacto del desarrollo minero en la disminución de la pobreza en la parroquia los encuentros, periodo 2015-2019

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como fin el determinar el impacto del desarrollo minero en la disminución de la pobreza en la Parroquia Los Encuentros en el periodo 2015-2019, para cumplir con este objetivo, se ha trabajado en base a dos encuestas aplicadas a los pobladores de la parroquia Los Encuentros, en el año 2015 y 2019 respectivamente. La primera encuesta busca determinar la situación al iniciar la construcción del proyecto Fruta del Norte, y la segunda evalúa las condiciones de trabajadores de Lundin Gold que viven en la misma parroquia, el trabajo se realizó con los siguientes indicadores: vivienda y servicios básicos, educación, economía, salud, cada una en el respectivo momento. Los datos arrojados han permitido comparar los parámetros establecidos y determinar que dicho proyecto no sólo permite mejorar el nivel y la calidad de vida de los habitantes de la zona de influencia; sino también determinar que mediante la aplicación de una minería socialmente responsable, la compañía además de cumplir con sus obligaciones fiscales, también aporta sustancialmente al desarrollo integral de la población, finalmente confirma que la correlación explotación minera y sostenibilidad, puede mejorar las condiciones de vida de los pobladores y robustecer la economía nacional.The purpose of this work is to determine the impact of mining development on poverty reduction in the Los Encuentros parish in the period 2015-2019, to comply with it, the information collected by the Lundin Gold company was used, specifically two Surveys applied to the residents of the Los Encuentros parish, as well as to the workers of said company, respectively, the first in 2015 and the second in 2019, in order to determine, the situation at the beginning of the construction of the Fruta del Norte project, and the second to evaluate the conditions of the workers, which mainly cover the general aspects, housing and basic services, education, economy, health, perception of the group under study, each one at the respective time. The data obtained allowed comparing the parameters of modification, and came to determine that said project not only improves the standard of living, but also the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area of influence; In other words, through the application of socially responsible mining, the company not only complies with its fiscal obligations, but also contributes to local and therefore national integral development, confirming that the correlation between mining exploitation and sustainability and sustainability (seen from the social and economic sphere) for this case, it is evident and successful, thus improving the poverty situation of the parish under study and at the same time improving the conditions of its inhabitants.
