Rehabilitación integral de un paciente edéntulo superior y parcialmente edéntulo mandibular

Abstract

En la Rehabilitación Oral integrada de un paciente edéntulo superior y parcialmente edéntulo inferior nos centramos en la elaboración de un correcto plan de tratamiento preventivo y rehabilitador con un resultado agradable y estético basándonos en teorías y evidencia científica para la colocación de ataches de bola como sustento de la prótesis total inferior y en conjunto con la prótesis total superior pudimos devolver la funcionalidad de la oclusión y la armonía de los dientes respecto al rostro del paciente que por demasiado tiempo ha permanecido sin ningún tratamiento rehabilitador en el maxilar inferior y con una prótesis total superior en estado deplorable forzando su articulación témporomandibular y lastimando sus tejidos blandos y duros al momento de realizar la masticación con el riesgo de comprometer el hueso, por lo que con el tratamiento integral que realizamos conseguimos una rehabilitación buco maxilofacial, fisiológica, mecánica, estética, fonética y social del paciente comprobando así que el concepto de una sobredentadura sigue siendo un concepto versátil en la rehabilitación total de pacientes desdentados.
