Estudio de la mampostería de ladrillo como sistema constructivo portante aplicado en el cantón Loja

Abstract

La presente investigación está basada en los diversos tipos de sistemas constructivos que existen en la ciudad de Loja, enfocándose en edificaciones construidas con mampostería portante de ladrillo, ya que estas viviendas fueron construidas con el crédito otorgado por el Banco Ecuatoriano de la Vivienda en la década de los años 70 del siglo XX. Para poder utilizar al ladrillo como sistema constructivo portante en esta investigación, se basó en replicar los métodos constructivos de viviendas ya edificadas aplicando materiales del medio, mediante el análisis a los distintos ladrillos que se ofertan en la ciudad de Loja, tanto de Catamayo, como de Malacatos y Susudel. Se optó por preferir el ladrillo de Malacatos, ya que éste presentó menor resistencia que los demás; por lo tanto, fue a este ladrillo al que se lo mejoró mediante la adición de una arcilla llamada cangagua. Asimismo, se concluyó la investigación mediante una guía constructiva para la implementación del ladrillo como material portante, la cual explica de forma clara al constructor el proceso para la elaboración de este sistema constructivo.

This research is based on the different types of construction systems that exist in the city of Loja, focusing on buildings built with brick masonry, as these homes were built with the loan granted by the Ecuadorian Housing Bank in the decade the 70s of the twentieth century. In order to be able to use brick as a constructive support system in this research, it was based on replicating the building methods of houses already built by applying materials from the environment, through the analysis of the different bricks that are offered in the city of Loja, both from Catamayo, of Malacatos and Susudel. It was decided to prefer the brick of Malacatos, since this presented less resistance than the others; therefore, it was to this brick that it was improved by the addition of a clay called cangagua. Likewise, the investigation was concluded by means of a constructive guide for the implementation of the brick as a bearing material, which clearly explains to the constructor the process for the elaboration of this constructive system.
