El rol de Rotary Internacional en la diseminación del concepto de paz positiva a partir del Programa Un México Más Fuerte: pilares de Paz Positiva realizado en México en 2017

Abstract

Desde el constructivismo, la generación de normas también es realizada por organizaciones internacionales no gubernamentales, las cuales deben seguir fases que se encuentran bajo la dirección de plataformas organizacionales, redes y recursos. El objetivo de la presente investigación es conocer el rol de Rotary Internacional (RI) en la diseminación del concepto de paz positiva a partir del Programa Un México Más Fuerte: pilares de Paz Positiva. El trabajo se lo realiza con una metodología cualitativa basada en el análisis de fuentes secundarias y entrevistas semiestructuradas a los organizadores del taller. Los hallazgos demuestran que, si bien Rotary Internacional no es el creador de la metodología para aplicar la paz positiva, la alianza estratégica con el Instituto para la Economía y la Paz (IEP), y sus redes internas, permiten la difusión de dicho concepto. En la presente investigación se recomienda el fortalecimiento de los procesos de monitoreo y evaluación, a fin de conocer el impacto real de las iniciativas que pretenden impulsar el uso de la paz positiva aprovechando su conexión con el IEP. The aim of this research is to learn about the role of Rotary International (RI) in spreading the concept of positive peace from the Stronger Mexico Program: pillars of Positive Peace. For this investigation was necessary to implement qualitative methodology based on the analysis of secondary sources and semi structured interviews with the workshop organizers. The results show that while Rotary International does not create the positive peace methodology to applicate it, the strategic partnership with the Institute for Economic and Peace (IEP) and its internal networks allows this concept to be disseminated. This research suggests strengthening the monitoring and evaluation processes, to know the real impact of initiatives that seek to promote the use of positive peace taking advantage of its connection with the IEP.
