Análisis Descriptivo De Los Principales Indicadores Financieros De Las Pymes Del Sector Agrícola De La Costa Y Sierra

Abstract

El propósito de este estudio fue realizar un análisis de los principales indicadores financieros de la pequeña y mediana empresa (pyme) del sector agrícola de Ecuador y que se utilizan en la literatura para predecir la rentabilidad financiera. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo exploratorio-descriptivo con la información financiera que las empresas reportaron a la Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros durante el periodo comprendido entre los años 2016 y 2020. Asimismo, se realizó una prueba de medias mediante una prueba t-student para comprobar la significancia de los indicadores financieros entre las empresas de la Costa y Sierra. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que las empresas de la Sierra tienen en promedio un mejor nivel que de la Costa, pero esta diferencia no es significativa. The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of the main financial indicators of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agricultural sector in Ecuador and that are used in the literature to predict financial profitability. To carry out this research, an exploratorydescriptive quantitative approach was used with the financial information that the companies reported to the Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros during the period from 2016 to 2020. Likewise, a test of means was performed using a t-student test to test the significance of the financial indicators between companies in the Coast and Highlands. The results obtained showed that the companies from the highlands have on average a better level than those from the coast, but this difference is not significant.
