Computación en la nube de los servicios informáticos de los Centros de Inteligencia e Investigaciones DGIN de la Policía Nacional del Ecuador

Abstract

Se realizó el proyecto de tesis con el fin de crear una infraestructura propia de computación en la nube como servicio (IaaS). El objetivo de este proyecto es centralizar la administración de los servicios informáticos y mejorar la seguridad. La investigación consistió en identificar y analizar los activos informáticos con los que contaba la Policía Nacional del Ecuador. Luego de esto, se diseñó una infraestructura de computación en la nube. Esto incluyó las dimensiones de la infraestructura tecnológica, que incluía un diagrama general de la topología de la red física con dispositivos de seguridad perimetral y controladores de dominio. Las redes de comunicación se diseñaron de acuerdo con los elementos de seguridad de estas. Luego, se creó una topología de red jerárquica, junto con un Directorio Activo y un sistema de gestión de incidentes informáticos. El paso final fue implementar la seguridad para la infraestructura de IaaS, que incluía seguridad perimetral, SIEM y Active Directory. Además, los entornos de computación en la nube de IaaS se virtualizaron utilizando herramientas de VMware (VSphere Enterprise, VMware vCenter y VMware Integrated OpenStack). The thesis project was carried out in order to create its own cloud computing infrastructure as a service (IaaS). The objective of this project is to centralize the administration of IT services and improve security. The investigation consisted of identifying and analyzing the computer assets that the National Police of Ecuador had. After this, a cloud computing infrastructure was designed. This included the dimensions of the technology infrastructure, which included an overview diagram of the physical network topology with perimeter security devices and domain controllers. The communication networks were designed according to their security elements. Next, a hierarchical network topology was created, along with an Active Directory and a computer incident management system. The final step was to implement security for the IaaS infrastructure, which included perimeter security, SIEM, and Active Directory. Additionally, IaaS cloud computing environments were virtualized using VMware tools (VSphere Enterprise, VMware vCenter, and VMware Integrated OpenStack).
