Centro Cultural de Artes y Oficios para rescatar la historia tangible e intangible del cantón Latacunga

Abstract

El presente trabajo se enfoca en la propuesta arquitectónica para diseñar un equipamiento urbano que sirva como Centro Cultural de Artes y Oficias en el cantón de Latacunga. La finalidad de este diseño es rescatar y preservar a través del uso del espacio, la historia y cultural de este lugar. La intervención que se plantea realizar abordar características de la arquitectura patrimonial con la recuperación de la estructura Casa Patio, construcción tradicional de los inmuebles en los centros Históricos de influencia española. Con este equipamiento se busca vincular la coexistencia del espacio, el arte, la historia y el aprendizaje de oficios, enfocado a usuarios jóvenes y adultos del cantón para que pueden mantener su historia y tradición. La idea central parte del diseño arquitectónico, donde el mismo espacio sea el encargado de contar y retratar la historia incorporando dinámicas de apropiación cultural a través del habitar del espacio. La presente propuesta se inspira en proyectos similares desarrollados en España y Chile, dónde los centros culturales se han convertido en referentes de la arquitectura en los Centros Históricos y a su vez, han generado espacios para la difusión de la historia local, logrando que oficios poco conocidos vuelvan a tener aprendizajes jóvenes que mantengan la tradición. The present work focuses on the architectural proposal to design an urban equipment that serves as Cultural Center of Arts and Offices in the canton of Latacunga. The purpose of this design is to rescue and preserve through the use of space, history and culture of this place. The intervention that is proposed to address characteristics of the heritage architecture with the recovery of the structure Casa Patio, traditional construction of the properties in the historical centers of Spanish influence. This equipment seeks to link the coexistence of space, art, history and the learning of trades, focused on young and adult users of the canton so that they can maintain their history and tradition. The central idea is based on architectural design, where the same space is in charge of telling and portraying the story incorporating dynamics of cultural appropriation through the habitation of the space. The present proposal is inspired by similar projects developed in Spain and Chile, where the cultural centers have become references of the architecture in the Historical Centers and in turn, have generated spaces for the diffusion of the local history, achieving that little known trades again have young learnings that maintain the tradition.
