Manejo de recesiones gingivales con injerto de tejido conectivo y técnica de tunelizacion

Abstract

En la práctica periodontal, el Odontólogo no solamente está expuesto a resolver problemas de tipo funcional, sino también, ofrecer resultados estéticos aceptables, es así que la estética es uno de los motivos más frecuentes que llevan a los pacientes a la consulta, sobre todo cuando presentan recesiones gingivales que comprometen los dientes anteriores, con síntomas subjetivos como, el aumento de hiperestesia radicular ante estímulos térmicos o táctiles, aumento de sensibilidad gingival, especialmente al cepillarse, un temor de posible pérdida del diente. Para lograr satisfacer al paciente en sus necesidades estéticas, el periodoncista emplea varias técnicas, entre ellas el injerto de tejido conectivo y la técnica de tunelización. Ésta técnica es muy conservadora, mínimamente invasiva, de alta estética, con un abordaje microquirúrgico, el mismo que permite reducir el trauma post-quirúrgico. Estos procedimientos eliminan los síntomas manifestados, y devuelven al paciente la estética y salud periodontal de los dientes involucrados, logrando así, elevar el autoestima y seguridad del paciente.

In the periodontal practice, the Dentist not only solves functional problems but also offers acceptable and expected aesthetic results. So that, aesthetics is one of the most frequent reasons that take the patients to the Dentist office, mainly when they present gingival recessions which compromise anterior teeth with subjective symptoms such as augment of radicular hyperesthesia at thermal or tactile stimuli, gingival sensitivity, above all when brushing teeth, a fear of losing teeth. To get patient satisfaction and cover his aesthetic needs, the Periodontist employs several techniques, among them, the connective tissue graft and the tunneling technique because of being a very conservative, minimally invasive, highly aesthetic technique, with a microsurgical approach which permits post surgical trauma minimization. These procedures give back the patient aesthetics and periodontal health of the involved teeth, thus creating tranquility in the patient , and something very important, heightening his self esteem and safety.
