Abstract: El propósito fundamental del presente trabajo es investigar acerca del idioma Kichwa, su historia, la situación del idioma en el Ecuador y cómo se ha aplicado la glotopolítica en relación este idioma, desde la época del Incario, hasta la actualidad. Siempre el hombre ha querido legislar en la lengua fijando el uso correcto de la lengua o interviniendo en su forma; también el poder político ha facultado a una lengua para ser impuesta como la de uso mayoritario en un territorio, Pero la práctica de las políticas lingüísticas de relaciones entre las lenguas y sus sociedades son conceptos modernos que retoman en parte estas prácticas antiguas. Por ello es que en el estudio de las políticas lingüísticas del presente trabajo en cuanto al Corpus, será analizar las problemáticas del lenguaje en su sentido Macro, es decir en cuanto a su posición sociolingüística o política, la identidad de la lengua, la dimensión política, el estadio en el que se encuentra el Kichwa en la actualidad en Ecuador y el período de la historia donde este idioma tomó realmente importancia en nuestro País.
Description: The main purpose of the following job is to investigate about the Kichwa language, it ́s history, the situation of the language in Ecuador and how was the glotopolytic being applied in relation to this language from the time of the Incas until now. Always the men wanted to legislate on the language fixing the correct use of the language or participating on it; also the political power has empowered a language to be imposed as the one with the majority use in a territory. But the practice of the language policies about relations between the languages and their societies are modern concepts that take back some of their antique practices. That is why the studies of this linguistic policies in this work must be analyzed according to the Corpus about the problems of the language in a Macro sense, that means according to its sociolinguistic position, or policy: the identity of thelanguage, the political dimension, the place where the kichwa is at the moment in Ecuador and the period of history where the language really took importance in our country.
