Rehabilitación oral y armonización oclusal en paciente con atrición dental anterior como consecuencia de la pérdida de contención posterior

Abstract

La estética del paciente ha sido considerada como sinónimo de belleza física e indicador de buena salud, a nivel odontológico cada vez es más frecuente su búsqueda. Un buen diagnóstico y plan de tratamiento ejecutado considerando las necesidades del paciente, sumado a un abordaje multidisciplinario y un diálogo constante con el técnico dental constituyen elementos fundamentales de éxito. Se expone así, el caso de una paciente con pérdida dentaria parcial, con alteraciones oclusales, funcionales y estéticas, donde la rehabilitación oral con prótesis fija en la arcada superior, y prótesis removible inferior, conjugada a procedimientos periodontales, permitieron alcanzar una armonía estética y función oclusal, logrando satisfacción y seguridad por parte del paciente.

A good diagnosis and treatment plan executed considering the needs of the patient, added to a multidisciplinary approach and a constant dialogue with the dental technician, are essential elements of success. This is the case of a patient with partial loss teeth, with oclusal, functional and aesthetic alterations, where prosthodontics with a fixed prosthesis in the upper jaw, and a removable prosthesis in the down jaw, with periodontal procedures, allowed achieving aesthetic harmony and correct occlusal function, achieving satisfaction and safety on the part of the patient.
