Manejo multidisciplinario en una fusión dental

Abstract

Paciente género masculino de 11 años de edad presenta una anomalía dentaria de número y forma, al tener una fusión del incisivo central superior derecho con un diente supernumerario, cuyo grado de unión es a nivel de todos los tejidos dentarios, por lo que el paciente presenta problemas emocionales y psicológicos al no poseer una correcta estética de sus dientes. Se le realiza un tratamiento multidisciplinario endodóntico, quirúrgico y estético, en el cual ocurre un desgarro de la raíz, este es sellado con el material obturador MTA el cual después de 3 meses demuestra haber funcionado de una manera correcta al regenerar hueso y prevenir una infección del diente tratado. El tratamiento multidisciplinario se lo realiza con el objetivo de restablecer su estado emocional, psicológico, y social, para que de esta manera pueda encajar en una sociedad en donde la estética es más exigente cada día.

Male patient, 11 years of age, presents a dental anomaly in number, also in shape and form. A dental fusion between the central right incisor and a supernumerary tooth exists, its binding is through all of its dental tissues, do to this anomaly the patient has emotional and psychological alterations for not having the proper aesthetics on its tooth of a normal 11 year old boy. A multidisciplinary treatment plan is developed by adjoining different dental specialties in which include: Endodontics, oral surgery and dental aesthetics, during process we come across a tear on the root of the incisor which is later sealed and treated by a sealant material called MTA, the same one that 3 months later proves to have worked in its right purpose, by regenerating the loss of bone tissue and also preventing a possible infection of the treated tooth. The multidisciplinary treatment plan is performed this way with the ending objective of regaining his emotional, psychological and social confidence that he deserves, this way he can fit in into a society witch dental aesthetics is every day and evermore demanding.
