Matrimonio Infantil Hindú: Caso de Geopolítica Crítica

Abstract

El mundo moderno producto de las grandes transformaciones políticas, sociales, culturales, ha generado nuevas dinámicas que permiten abordar otros temas de estudio que siempre han estado presentes en el escenario internacional pero que gracias a la geopolítica crítica se los empieza abordar y visibilizar como temas de igual importancia que las relaciones interestatales o asuntos de política exterior. Temas como la cultura y la incidencia de esta en un país, son puntos que la geopolítica crítica destaca dentro de las Relaciones Internacionales. Es así, como esta teoría permite abordar el Matrimonio Infantil Hindú y posicionarlo en la plataforma mundial como un tema de importancia para toda la comunidad, del que no sería posible su surgimiento sino es gracias a la manifestación de los nuevos actores internacionales, que han sacado a la luz este tema para demandar que es un fenómeno que está atacando a la sociedad hindú, cuya tradicional forma de someter a una mujer bajo el precepto de respeto a su cultura debe ser modificada, considerando que eliminar estas prácticas culturales no terminan por eliminar una cultura, sino que más bien refuerza la identidad de la mujer y la posición que debe tener dentro de su cultura y de su sociedad. Se realiza también un análisis descriptivo socio-histórico de la cultura hindú y de cómo se aborda el tema de la India desde el manejo del discurso construido por Oriente. Por lo que a través de ese discurso, se comienzan a identificar las construcciones culturales de cada actor, pero también permite considerar como estos discursos influyen en el tema del matrimonio infantil hindú para posicionarlo en el debate mundial....

The modern world, product of major political, social and cultural transformations, has generated new dynamics that allow us to address other topics of study that have always been present on the international scene but that, thanks to critical geopolitics, are beginning to be addressed and made visible as themes of equal importance as interstate relations or foreign policy issues. Topics such as culture and the impact of this in a country are points that critical geopolitics highlights within International Relations. This is how this theory allows us to approach the Hindu Child Marriage and position it in the world platform as an issue of importance for the whole community, from which its emergence would not be possible but it is thanks to the manifestation of the new international actors, who have taken to light this issue to claim that it is a phenomenon that is attacking the Hindu society, whose traditional way of subjecting a woman under the precept of respect for their culture must be modified, considering that eliminating these cultural practices does not end up eliminating a culture, but rather reinforces the identity of women and the position they should have within their culture and society. A socio-historical descriptive analysis of the Hindu culture is also carried out, as well as how the theme of India is approached from the handling of the discourse constructed by the East. So through this discourse, we begin to identify the cultural constructions of each actor, but also allows us to consider how these discourses influence the issue of Hindu child marriage to position it in the world debate....
